I'm actually surprised after all this time someone FINALLY noticed! xD
I think it just kinda happened because most of us are sporting good ol' fashioned uniforms. Which require the wear-age of ties. Eg: Your character is based off of a scientist/doctor who wears a tie, my character is based off of a pilot who wears a tie, Sam's character wearing a tuxedo obviously needs to wear a tie..., Justin based off of a Admiral whom also wears a tie.
By this point I kinda figured that is was just a legion-y thing to wear a tie thus Thunden and Gfox were given ties for the lolz.

But did you also notice that the majority of Teh Legion site and even the colors of the clothes of the characters mainly stick to red, white, and black? :]
